1306.05(e) Geographically Deceptive Marks Not Registrable as Geographic Certification Marks
A geographic certification mark that is geographically deceptive may not be registered on either the Principal or Supplemental Register and must be refused under Trademark Act §2(a), 15 U.S.C. §1052(a), or §2(e)(3), 15 U.S.C. §1052(e)(3), as appropriate.
